
Denise Brewitt is the Executive Director of the Council for Children and Adolescents with Chronic Health Conditions and Their Families. Denise, a life-long resident of New Hampshire, lives in Raymond with her husband Miguel and their three children. Denise's youngest son, Ryan contends with a rare chronic health condition CVAT. Denise and Miguel know first-hand the impact a chronic health condition can have on an entire family and the important role of advocating for your child.
Denise's background is in the field of Education with more than ten years experience. For the past five years Denise has also served as a community relations representative for the Children's Hospital Boston Trust and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. She has spoken on behalf of fellow parents of children with chronic health conditions and the challenges that their children face and the obstacles that their families must overcome.
As the Executive Director of the CCACHC, Denise serves on several state-wide organizations to advocate and represent children with special health care needs. Currently she is the Vice Chair of the Medical Care Advisory Committee (MCAC) which was established in accordance to 42 CFR 431.12 to advise the state agency Medicaid Director regarding New Hampshire Medicaid policy and planning. Other organizations that Denise is a member of include the Partners In Health Steering Committee, NH Interagency Coordinating Council, Asthma Control Steering Committee, Emergency Preparedness, NH Alliance for Children and a UNH Advisory Board for increasing the workforce of Early Childhood Special Education Teachers. Denise has also become a lead partner in a national organization called the Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease.
